Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles is looking for a sharp, organized, and energetic Kitchen Expo to be the communication bridge between our kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Position Summary:
The Kitchen Expo serves as the critical link between the front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams, ensuring that every dish is prepared, plated, and delivered accurately and efficiently. This role is responsible for managing the flow of tickets, communicating clearly with cooks and servers, checking food quality and presentation, and coordinating timing so that orders reach guests promptly. The Kitchen Expo maintains organization on the line, assists with final plating or garnishing when needed, and helps uphold the restaurant’s standards for speed, accuracy, and consistency. Success in this position requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the flow of orders from the kitchen to the dining room
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and presentation of all dishes before they leave the line
- Communicate clearly with chefs, cooks, servers, and support staff
- Prioritize tickets and maintain an efficient pace during high-volume service
- Assist with plating, garnishing, and final touches as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line
- Support the team with a positive, solution-focused attitude
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 years’ experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment Expo experience preferred not required
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to jump in where needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, and eager to serve
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
- Strong understanding of health regulations and ability to enforce cleanliness standards.
- Required certifications Food Handler’s Certification
Pay: $12.70 - $13.70 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
