Summary
Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, tools, parts, and supplies, for organization by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews requisitions.
Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.
Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid.
Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
Approves pricing if purchase order does not match invoice.
Works closely with engineers to purchase the correct part on new products; verify revisions on make parts; maintain blanket orders; supervise and help with yearend inventory; qualify all new powder coat colors between vendors and customers; and ensure ordered parts are on schedule for
delivery.
Confirm correct revisions and finish are ordered on make parts.
Receive, identify and assure we receive and put in inventory correct parts.
Required to send all rejected parts back to vendors.
Continuously undertaking cost savings.
Evaluate all suppliers ant year end.
Recording and evaluating late suppliers.
Qualify all new powder coat colors between vendor and customer.
Secure lawn care and snow removal.
Direct driver on all pick-ups.
Organize all make parts for large machine orders and special colors.
Solve all back order parts issues.
