Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick orders using RF scanners and
pick systems to ensure accuracy and speed. - Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other machinery safely and effectively.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials with heavy lifting techniques and appropriate safety measures.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, verifying orders against documentation and maintaining precise records.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update order statuses, and maintain stock accuracy.
- Conduct materials handling tasks including stacking, palletizing, and organizing products within the warehouse.
- Follow OSHA safety standards diligently, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks under supervision, supporting warehouse supervisors in daily operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments with familiarity in order picking and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations (OSHA) and mechanical systems relevant to warehouse operations.
- Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is advantageous.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles in logistics settings are a plus but not required.
- Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and repetitive tasks associated with materials handling.
- Construction or heavy equipment operation background can be beneficial for understanding mechanical aspects of the role.
