We are looking to fill a position in our Quality Department. Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will have performing as one of our Quality Technicians! The function of a Quality Technician is to interact and assist with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel regarding part conformance and process capability; assist in training other employees in operation of CMM and other measuring devices uses for quality assurance. He/she will understand, implement, and maintain the Quality Policy in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability to work 1st shift
- Must be able to sign and abide by Company’s employee manual and confidentiality agreement.
- Required to successfully complete a background check, job physical and drug screening.
- Required: High School/GED diploma or vocational school equivalent.
- Preferred: Graduate of an engineering program OR related 4-year degree.
- Preferred: CMM Training/Certification from an accredited educational institution.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working in manufacturing.
- Minimum 2 years of practical and related experience.
- Working knowledge of blueprints, models, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of using a PC and related software.
- Must be proficient in editing software to assist in writing CMM programs.
- Must excel working with time constraints and under pressure. Must be well-organized and able to multi-task effectively.
- Review and discuss quality concerns or issues for resolution and awareness across various levels of the organization.
- Understanding of production techniques and processes of a precision machine shop.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Create/edit programs for Equators/CMMs.
- Ensure that Equators/CMMs are properly calibrated.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering to determine program requirements based on design and engineering specifications.
- Complete understanding of GD&T interpretations.
- Supports all aspects of Quality as it applies to programming responsibilities.
- Designs fixtures and gauges that ensure accuracy and reliability of Equator programs.
- Utilizes MODUS software to produce programs that are safe to run and verifies that components meet print tolerances and specifications.
- Is in continual communication with other members of the team regarding any issues that arise.
- Maintain and improve the NRB cage through organization, determination, and root cause analysis for issue resolution.
- Prepare necessary reports and maintain all pertinent records.
- Establish and maintain all inspection criteria and documentation. (Inspection reports and Inspection procedures).
- Assists Quality Inspectors and Engineers with other departmental tasks as needed.
- Any other duties requested by Quality Manager.
