About the Role
JOHN G'S is a busy, well-established breakfast & lunch restaurant looking for a Front of House Lead who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
We are looking for a highly experienced, energetic front-of-house professional who is comfortable doing the work, multitasking, and keeping service running smoothly during busy periods.
If you enjoy staying active, interacting with guests, and being a key part of the daily flow — this role is for you.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a true all-around FOH position, including:
- Greeting and seating guests (host duties)
- Cashiering and handling POS transactions
- Managing phone calls and to-go orders
- Coordinating and expediting orders with the kitchen
- Food running and assisting servers as needed
- Maintaining a clean, organized front of house
- Providing excellent, friendly customer service at all times
You'll be on the floor, moving, interacting, and helping wherever needed.
Who We're Looking For
This role is best suited for someone who:
- Has strong front-of-house experience (restaurant, café, diner, or fast-casual)
- Is high-energy and comfortable multitasking
- Can stay calm and efficient during rushes
- Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
- Communicates well with guests and teammates
- Is comfortable being hands-on throughout the shift
Who This Role Is NOT For
- This is not a desk or supervisory job
- Not suitable for someone who prefers slow pace or single-task roles
- Not a management or assistant manager position
Schedule
- Daytime shifts only
- Breakfast & lunch service
- Weekends required
- No late nights
Compensation & Growth
- $18–$22/hour base, depending on experience
- Tips included (typically $22–$26/hour total)
