Position Overview
LMI is seeking an organized, hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and tracking materials, coordinating weekly deliveries with Project Managers, and directing warehouse drivers so job sites get what they need on time.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable working with Project Managers, supervisors, and foremen by phone and email throughout the day. Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to juggle shifting priorities and schedule changes, and confident operating a forklift, cherry picker, and pallet jack. Previous warehouse management or electrical/construction material handling experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Receive pallets and materials throughout the day, and notify the right PM, supervisor, or foreman when their materials arrive.
- Organize received materials into inventory or assign them to upcoming orders.
- Label pallets and boxes with job name, foreman name, and storage location.
- Store materials on first-, second-, and third-level shelving using a forklift, cherry picker, or pallet jack.
- Respond to jobsite email requests: verify current inventory and coordinate material needs with PMs, managers, and supervisors.
- Schedule weekly deliveries with Project Managers and make sure inventory is ready for upcoming jobs.
- Coordinate warehouse drivers, including schedule and delivery changes during the day.
- Pull orders and load trucks for upcoming deliveries.
- Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe.
- Drive the company truck occasionally as needed.
Requirements
- Warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience. Supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills by phone and email.
- Comfortable using email and basic computer tools to track inventory and requests.
- Able to safely operate a forklift, cherry picker, and pallet jack (certification a plus).
- Able to safely lift and carry 40 pounds regularly.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to read and understand safety manuals and job-site instructions written and spoken in English.
- Construction or electrical material knowledge a plus.
