Position Summary
The Clinical Dietitian applies Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and incorporates research-based practice to best serve our patients in the Inpatient hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and documents nutrition plan of care and will include a Nutrition Focused Physical Exam as appropriate.
- Provides nutrition education to patients and their families
- Provides ongoing nutrition monitoring for patients as indicated
- Calculates Enteral and Parenteral needs and communicates with other disciplines regarding management of alternate nutrition.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university
- Licensure / Certification: Requires current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential as a Registered Dietitian.
- Must be a registered dietitian licensed in the state of Ohio.
- Completes continuing professional educational requirements to maintain credentials
- Experience as a clinical registered and licensed dietitian preferred. Open to new graduates
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of medical staff, healthcare professionals, managers, etc
- LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
