Job Overview
As an Import Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods across borders. Your expertise will drive efficiency in supply chain operations, from managing inventory to coordinating transportation logistics. You’ll be at the forefront of optimizing processes and enhancing our import strategies, making a significant impact on our overall operations.
What you’ll do
- Oversee and manage the entire import process, ensuring compliance with all regulations and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarders to facilitate timely shipping and receiving of goods.
- Conduct thorough inventory management to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the supply chain.
- Utilize transportation management systems to plan and execute effective transportation strategies.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure proper handling, storage, and distribution of imported products.
- Analyze data related to import activities to identify trends and make informed decisions.
- Maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize shipping and fulfillment processes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in inventory control, warehouse management systems, and transportation planning.
- Experience with ERP systems for efficient procurement and logistics management.
- Familiarity with freight operations, shipping & receiving processes, and order fulfillment strategies.
- Excellent data analysis skills to drive insights from supply chain analytics.
- Ability to manage materials handling, packaging, and category management effectively.
- Experience with dispatching, picking & packing operations in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) regulations is a plus.
- Bilingual preferred- Korean speaking preferred
