We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our facilities, assets, and personnel. Duties
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills and first aid or CPR when necessary
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility, including perimeter checks and interior inspections to prevent theft or vandalism
- Manage loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security vulnerabilities and reporting findings accordingly
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents requiring law enforcement expertise or medical assistance
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incident reports, access logs, and surveillance footage for accountability and review
Experience
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Familiarity with security protocols, incident reporting procedures, and emergency response plans
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
