This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, learning new skills, and contributing to the success of daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to safely load, unload, transport, and store materials throughout the facility.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by ensuring products are properly labeled, packaged, and documented for delivery.
- Transport raw materials to production areas and move finished goods to designated storage or shipping locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using RF scanners, inventory management systems, or manual logs.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and promptly report any maintenance, operational, or safety concerns.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and physical inventory processes as required.
- Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping/receiving environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, production teams, and logistics personnel to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience required (sit-down, stand-up, or both).
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate material-handling equipment in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience using RF scanners or inventory management systems are a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
