About the RoleLloyd Copelan Garage Doors started in 1972 is a 3rd generation family business. We are a tight-knit team of five looking for a motivated, organized, and friendly individual to be the face and voice of our company. As our Office Coordinator & Sales Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, whether they are calling with an emergency repair or walking into our showroom to design their dream garage door.You don’t need to be a garage door expert on day one; we will provide full training on the technical side. We just need someone who is eager to learn, great at solving problems, and comfortable closing a sale. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Support & DispatchingManage high-volume incoming calls and emails with professionalism.Gather essential customer data (contact info, referral source, and issue details).Perform basic "over-the-phone" troubleshooting to resolve simple issues immediately.Use Housecall Pro CRM to schedule service technicians and coordinate daily job sites.Showroom & Counter SalesGreet walk-in customers and assist them with over-the-counter part sales (remotes, batteries, etc.).Consult with customers on new garage door designs, helping them select the right style and features.Generate and provide basic estimates for new installations.Sales & Follow-UpProvide accurate pricing for services and products.Conduct follow-up calls to customers who have requested bids but haven't yet purchased.Place and track product orders to ensure inventory and parts are ready for upcoming jobs.Team SupportAct as the primary support hub for our field service technicians.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom and office environment. What We’re Looking ForA People Person: You enjoy talking to people and have a "helper" mentality.Tech Savvy: You are comfortable using (or learning) CRM software like Housecall Pro.Detail Oriented: You can juggle phone calls, scheduling, and data entry without dropping the ball.Sales Mindset: You aren't afraid to follow up on a quote or recommend the best product for a customer’s needs.Reliability: You take pride in being punctual and supporting a small team. RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, or office administration (preferred).Basic math skills for providing estimates and handling transactions.Ability to work occasional Saturdays.Company DescriptionIn the early 1970s, Lloyd Copelan was working at Canada Dry, a soda bottling company, when he suffered a serious back injury on the job. Unable to continue working, he lost his position—a common outcome for the times. However, Lloyd’s resilient spirit led him to turn a setback into an opportunity. Known throughout his neighborhood as the go-to handyman, he decided to start his own handyman service.Lloyd’s exceptional skills, reliability, and friendly service quickly made him a local favorite. As word spread, his reputation grew beyond the neighborhood, expanding into Redlands. It wasn’t long before Genie Garage Doors Manufacturing took notice and invited him to become their exclusive installer for Yucaipa, Redlands, and San Bernardino. Lloyd accepted, marking the beginning of Lloyd Copelan Garage Doors, the first ever Garage Door Company in the Inland Empire.As the business thrived, it has remained a true family operation. Lloyd’s son, Steve, eventually joined the company, followed by Steve’s daughter, Camie. Though Lloyd has since passed away and Steve has retired, the legacy lives on.
