Facility Maintenance Technician
Job Description:
Llebroc, located in Fort Worth Texas, is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of marine seating for OEM boat manufacturers both domestically and abroad. Besides typical building and shop maintenance, our manufacturing facility consists of metal working equipment, CNC foam, plastic, & vinyl cutters as well as numerous sewing and quilting machines that all require thorough oversight and regular maintenance programs.
A successful maintenance technician will plan and manage a comprehensive maintenance program, address unplanned equipment issues with urgency, and work with management to develop and execute improvement plans throughout the plant. All with the understanding that the maintenance operation is truly critical to our success.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Troubleshooting and Repairs – Keeping equipment in top running condition
- Diagnosing and fixing machinery issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Balance the use of personal experience & skills with hiring outside service companies to maintain efficient operation and maximize up-time. (time vs expense)
- Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
· Creating preventive maintenance programs and reporting performance
· This role will also assist the Operations Manager with continuous improvement projects
- Communicating with the production team to address maintenance needs & responsibilities.
- Maintaining a LEAN clean work area and adhering to safety protocols throughout the facility
- Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
- Thoroughly understand and follow all OSHA and company regulations as they relate to the maintenance field (Lock Out Tag Out, Personal Protective Equipment, etc.)
- Maintain open and accurate communication with company leadership well as Production Managers
- Manage and maintain proper parts inventories.
· Duties may be modified, or additional duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Technical or Trade school degree preferred, or a combination of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. plus 4 years of experience in a maintenance occupation in a manufacturing environment.
· Healthy computer skills are required for proper record keeping as well as developing relationships with vendors and service suppliers to hire in as needed.
- 5-day workweek, but willing and able to work nights & weekends if situations or issues require it
- Strong understanding of industrial electricity
- Ability to work independently.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Basic understanding of schematics and blueprints
- Basic understanding of critical Maintenance, Repair, and Operations, procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Physical Demands:
Required to be able to move about throughout the office and shop environment and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Safely working on ladders or raised surfaces as well as in warehouse and production areas. Sitting, bending, stooping and lifting are common in this role.
This is a “hands-on” maintenance position.
Work Environment:
Shop Floor & Occasional desk work for reporting, planning and purchasing.
