The Lifeguard is responsible for supervising children in/at the pool to maintain a safe environment. The Lifeguard will also perform daily pool maintenance.

The Lifeguard is responsible for supervising children in/at the pool to maintain a safe environment. The Lifeguard will also perform daily pool maintenance.
Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise children in the pool to maintain a safe environment.
- Perform lifesaving skills when necessary.
- Clean the pool and the pool grounds.
- Monitor the chemical levels in the pool.
- Record child counts daily.
- Must be able to give the “swim test” to determine a child’s restrictions (if any) in the pool.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Interacts politely with co-workers and acts as a role model for young children.
- Attends all meetings and training sessions.
- Reports directly to the Center Director, with occasional direction from the Corporate Pool Supervisor.
- Must commit to working for the entire summer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing, sitting and bending.
- Lifeguard certification (preferred)
- First/Aid CPR certification (preferred)
- Pool Manager’s certification (preferred)
- Previous experience in childcare (preferred)
- Background Check (required)
- Training can be provided to candidate you meet the necessary requirements.
