Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Worker/Glass Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining glass and related construction components on various projects. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, quality, and aesthetic appeal of our construction sites. Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute glass and construction installations
- Install windows, doors, fixtures, and trim carpentry components following detailed construction plans
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for fabrication, assembly, and installation tasks
- Perform dimensional measurements to ensure quality control and proper fit of glass panels and framing elements
- Execute caulking, sealing, and finishing work to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic standards are met
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols on-site
- Assist with remodeling projects by performing carpentry tasks such as metal stud framing, door hanging, or cabinet installation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on glass installation or related trades
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, measuring tapes, and other essential construction tools
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and fabrication equipment
- Ability to perform precise measurements for quality control purposes during installation processes
- Experience with construction estimating is a plus but not required
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Knowledge of caulking techniques, fixture installation, drywall finishing, metal stud framing, and remodeling practices is desirable
