Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Bloomington, IN
Pay: $39.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional nights/weekends. On-call one weekend per month.
Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining production, bottling, packaging, facility and utility systems, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably. Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations and equipment improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, sensors, starters, relays, overloads, VFDs, photoeyes, limit switches and industrial controls.
- Repair mechanical equipment including bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, seals, shafts, couplings, pumps, valves, motors and gearboxes.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automated production, bottling and packaging equipment.
- Complete preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.
- Use CMMS for work orders, repair documentation and equipment history.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Support equipment installations, improvements and continuous improvement projects.
- Work with vendors and contractors when required.
Requirements
- 4 years industrial maintenance experience preferred, ideally within food/beverage, bottling, brewery/winery, pharmaceutical or automated manufacturing.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with 120V, 240V and 480V industrial electrical systems.
- Basic PLC, HMI, VFD and industrial controls troubleshooting.
- Preventive maintenance and CMMS experience.
- Technical qualification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work from ladders/aerial lifts.
