Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform tasks at hand.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and other types of welding based on project needs.
- Field installs welds, metal sheeting, and other parts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of best practices and safety procedures.
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Current and valid welding certification is a plus.
- Experience working with power tools.
- 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Follow setup instructions when preparing welders and follow general operator instructions when operating machines.
- Ability to set up workstations and utilize weld fixturing.
- Verify fixtures according to master parts or blueprints.
- Ability to weld components at or above the standard production rate.
- Ability to work in hot or cold environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in awkward positions.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime and weekends.
- Must pass an onsite weld test.
