Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Paint Line Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in the coating and finishing processes. In this role, you will oversee the operation of paint lines, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinate production activities to meet company goals. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining efficient workflows, ensuring product quality, and fostering a safety-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the paint line, including conventional spraying, powder coating, and industrial painting techniques
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols, including PPE use such as respirators and respiratory protection equipment
- Monitor production quality standards through visual color comparison and inspection of finished coatings
- Interpret production documents and specifications to maintain consistency and precision in coating applications
- Coordinate materials handling, fabrication, and assembly activities related to coating processes
- Operate and oversee equipment such as spray guns, airless paint sprayers, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, cranes, machining tools, and fabrication machinery
- Conduct regular safety training sessions focusing on PPE adherence, construction painting surface preparation, and proper use of hand tools and power tools
Experience
- Proven experience supervising manufacturing or industrial painting operations with knowledge of powder coating, auto body repair, or construction painting surface preparation
- Familiarity with coating materials handling, visual color comparison techniques, and quality standards in production environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to spray guns, coating equipment, welding tools, cranes, and machining devices
- Ability to interpret complex production documents and utilize precision measuring instruments for quality control
- Warehouse experience with materials handling procedures is preferred
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and material usage
