Job Summary
LJ's Cleaning Solutions is seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Supervisor to lead a janitorial team and oversee daily cleaning operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring quality standards are met, coordinating schedules, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the daily janitorial team
- Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered
- Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, and performance
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure cleaning standards are met
- Train, coach, and support janitorial staff
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Respond to employee questions and resolve concerns
- Communicate with management through email and radio
- Perform hands-on cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Perform floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and polishing
Requirements
- Valid driver's license required
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in janitorial or custodial services
- 3 years of janitorial or custodial experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Working knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and computers
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and E-Verify
- Flexible to cover shifts as needed
