LJM is a small parcel optimization firm that helps shippers reduce small-parcel shipping costs and improve visibility through carrier contract negotiation, invoice auditing, and its advisory services.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our small-parcel analytics team. This role focuses on working with large Excel datasets, building and maintaining lookup tables, and delivering clear, accurate reporting. Prior small parcel experience is welcomed but not required, training is provided for candidates with strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Work with large datasets in Excel (sorting, filtering, cleansing, validation)
- Build and maintain lookup tables to support reporting and analysis
- Create and refine Pivot Tables to summarize trends and exceptions
- Use VLOOKUP (and related functions) to link and normalize data
- Document work and communicate findings through clear, professional written updates
Qualifications
- Strong Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and data validation
- Ability to manage high-volume data with accuracy and consistency
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong written communication skills
- Willingness to learn small parcel/shipping analytics (training provided)
Additional qualifications considered
- Experience in shipping, logistics, auditing, or carrier invoicing
- Experience building structured reporting templates and data documentation
