POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Sr. Project Manager at LJA Transportation, you will be responsible for winning work and overseeing a project management team while leading the delivery of transportation projects of varying size and complexity. You’ll manage schedules, budgets, and resources, build client relationships to grow business, and mentor your team - ensuring their success is recognized and rewarded while driving the continued growth of the transportation sector.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Oversight of a Project Management Team.
• Managing projects of appropriate size
• Managing schedules and financials.
• Building relationships and growing business in the transportation sector.
• Pre-selling a future project
• Managing/mentoring direct reports
• Balancing resources with Operations Manager or Engineering Director
• Rewarding your team
  
  

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (Georgia preferred)
  
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven project management experience and handling multiple deadlines and budgets
• Effective communication skills to engage with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and employees fostering strong relationships
  
  

IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:

• Track record of winning GDOT work
• Track record of County and Municipal wins
• Previous work experience in an AEC related firm
