POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Seasonal Field Assistant at LJA Survey., you will be responsible for assisting with site preparation, measurement collection, and layout activities under the direction of the Party Chief. Responsibilities include clearing survey lines, setting stakes for elevation measurements, holding the prism pole for accurate data collection, and measuring horizontal distances between points to support survey accuracy.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Party Chief gives direction for this position
• Clear brush or trees away from survey line
• Lays out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements
• Holding prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points
• Measures how far different points are from each other Horizontally
  
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional lifting/carrying of 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds
• Walking and working outdoors under variable weather conditions
