POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Seasonal Field Assistant at LJA Surveying, you will be able to explore our exciting and entrepreneurial culture will allow you to think creatively, solve problems, and meet the needs of our clients daily

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Perform assignments with direction from experienced surveyors.
• Spend time shadowing actual operations.
• Will have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of surveyors.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must have completed at least one year of college and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Technical degree in Geomatics or Surveying.

IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:

• Requires highly motivated students with a strong academic performance
• Party Chief gives direction for this position
• Clear brush or trees away from survey line
• Lays out stakes to prepare for elevation measurements
• Holding prism pole steady for the surveyor to help determine elevations of different points
• Measures how far different points are from each other Horizontally
