Position Summary
The Performance Coach / Athletic Trainer will support the delivery and execution of LJ Performance’s training system.
This role is responsible for coaching athletes, implementing performance programming, and contributing to a structured, data-driven environment focused on long-term athletic development.
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Columbus, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality coaching sessions with attention to detail and intent
- Implement strength & conditioning programs aligned with athlete goals
- Assist in the collection and application of performance data (force plates, VBT, timing gates)
- Support athlete development through individualized coaching and feedback
- Maintain a professional and organized training environment
- Build strong relationships with athletes and parents
- Uphold and reinforce the standards and culture of LJ Performance
Performance Environment
- Technology-driven training (VALD, HAWKIN, ENODE, T-APEX, etc.)
- Individualized programming and athlete monitoring (TeambuildR)
- Integrated approach to performance, recovery, and development
- High-accountability, high-standard coaching environment
Qualifications
- Experience in strength & conditioning, athletic performance, or sports medicine
- Strong coaching presence and communication skills
- Ability to apply and learn performance technology
- Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field (preferred)
- Certifications (CSCS, ATC, NASM, etc.) are a plus
