Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with selecting delicious ice cream flavors and toppings, providing friendly recommendations and upselling when appropriate
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other menu items following food safety standards and quality guidelines
- Manage customer orders with precision, ensuring timely service and satisfaction while handling cash register operations and processing cash transactions securely
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, cleaning counters, and organizing supplies in accordance with sanitation standards
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure product availability during busy hours and assist with food handling tasks as needed
- Support team members in bussing tables, managing food safety practices, and ensuring a sanitized environment for both customers and staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred; food industry or café experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cashiering experience is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between food prep, sales, and customer service
- Basic math skills for handling cash register operations, retail math calculations, and processing transactions accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Familiarity with food safety management practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous
- Retail sales experience including upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
