Position Overview
We are seeking highly skilled IT consultants to support the New York State Office of the State Comptroller’s Data Analytics Initiative and FirstNY Data Warehouse Reporting and Analytics System. These roles will play a key part in enhancing statewide transparency, supporting fraud/waste/abuse detection, improving audit and performance analysis, and modernizing data-driven systems.
Consultants will work within OSC’s Chief Information Officer Division, supporting both current and future data analytics and warehousing needs. Multiple roles will be staffed throughout the contract period.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and developing dashboards,story points and stories, visualizations and maps in Tableau;
- Identifying and remediating performance issues associated with Tableau development;
- Determining and documenting best practice guidelines for visual analytics;
- Developing and tuning SQL and Python for use with Tableau; and
- Setting up and maintaining all aspects of Tableau security including permissions, roles, groups, projects and users.
- 1 year Oracle BI Publisher report development using Microsoft Word templates
- 3 years OBIEE MUDE experience including RPD, dashboards, and analyses
- 3 years ETL development using enterprise ETL tools
- 5 years Oracle SQL & PL/SQL development
- 2 years SQL performance tuning in Oracle
- 3 years data modeling for analytics and reporting
- Must be available to start April 28, 2026
