Overview: Jackson Dawson is seeking to enhance the support it offers its dealership clients that subscribe to TrueTrack, our business analytics and intelligence tool. Work Environment: On-site required for 2.5 days per week at the Dearborn, MI office.
Responsibilities:
Technical Onboarding | Owns the connection of dealer financials to the TrueTrack database
- Welcome newly enrolled dealerships into the platform by providing welcome materials and instructions for mapping accounts from the General Ledger into the platform
- Schedule calls with dealership General Managers or Bookkeepers to review the GL prior to mapping
- Follow up with dealers after they enroll to remind them to submit their financials
- Explain to dealers how they submit their financials to TrueTrack
- Ensure that financials are fully submitted without any data gaps
- Respond to tickets/inquiries from dealers that are submitted through the helpdesk
- Connect each General Ledger account to the software platform based on its title and/or description
- Contact the dealership for assistance with any accounts that are unclear
- Maintain rigorous standards of data integrity to ensure financial information is transferred accurately
- Secure dealership data using the security protocols provided to prevent data leakage
Accounting Support | Owns the responsibility to inform dealers of any critical issues in their financials
- Identify frequent and critical issues in dealer accounting quality
- Facilitate a range of accounting discussions with dealers
- Work with the designers and developers to suggest features within TrueTrack to automate and enhance dealer accounting support
Accounting Education | Owns the responsibility to educate dealers on how to read, understand, and measure their financials
- Host live and/or recorded sessions for dealers to receive education on their financials
- Present virtually to dealer audiences ranging in size from 1-10 people
- Identify frequent and critical issues in dealer comprehension of their financials
- Prepare materials to support dealer accounting education
- Work with the product team to ideate features within TrueTrack to enhance dealer accounting education
User Engagement | Work with dealerships and the product team to increase platform activity and value
- Support sales team with accounting information for their dealer discussions
- Provide upward feedback from dealerships to the product team, such as requested improvements
- Ability to articulate financial drivers that are holding dealerships back from achieving their goals
Scaling for Growth | Relentlessly focus on how we can expand our reach effectively
- Create documentation where appropriate to assist with scaling support to additional specialists
- Proactively recommend improvements to existing processes, structure, tools, etc.
- Identify user needs and opportunities to increase platform value to users
- Participate in product improvements and feature roadmaps
Knowledge you should have:
- How a balance sheet and income statement are structured
- How to read the name of a financial statement account and understand where it belongs
- How to identify high level outliers in financial statements that deviate from a standard range
- How to explain basic accounting and financial statement concepts
Skills you should be proficient in:
- Using various tools, such as Microsoft products: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams; Zoom, Power BI, etc.
- Writing concise, effective email communication with proper grammar and punctuation
- Explaining how to complete specific tasks to dealers
- Attention to detail and intentional follow up with users
- Public speaking to an audience with clarity, diplomacy, and conciseness
- Analyzing problems, identifying possible solutions, and communicating those solutions to the internal team
Qualifications you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-2 years of recent experience in accounting and/or financial statement preparation and review
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Walk short distances
- Stand for short periods

- Bilingual French and English
