Part-Time CDL Livestock and Feed Transportation Driver

Livingston Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Over the Road CDL Driver to join our pig hauling team! This individual must have excellent communication skills and a clean driving record. Starting wage is negotiable. Our pig hauling team is equipped with Transport Quality Assurance training to ensure animals are handled and transported safely.

This role will primarily be during early morning hours and consist of local short run livestock transportation and hauling feed when needed. This person will be responsible for promptly reviewing, and understanding, dispatch sheets; confirms animal arrival and dispatch times with LEI sow farms, nurseries, and finishers; documents pig movements on dispatch sheets and reports them daily; and follows biosecurity guidelines according to the pig health pyramid for pig transport.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensures pig safety and comfort when loading, transporting, unloading, or otherwise handling pigs
• Helps improve the transportation system
• Timely delivery of pigs
• Maintains truck and trailers in good condition
• Tends to the details of daily routines and safety checks
• Drives safely and adheres to Vehicular Guidelines
• Wears appropriate clothing as required
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as required for a smooth and efficient operation
  
  

Qualified candidates will have a valid Class A CDL, will be a minimum of 23 years of age and has a clean driving record. Pre-employment physical is also a requirement.
