Starting Compensation:

Clinician I - $58,282.61- $66,699.89

Clinician II - $60,860.50- $69,978.81

Annual salary based on education and experience.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? Join our dedicated mental health team as an Intake Clinician, where you'll be the first connection for individuals and families seeking urgent, emergent, or ongoing support.

Working under the guidance of the Mental Health Program Director and Program Coordinator, you'll be part of a collaborative team focused on helping individuals of all ages access the services they need - whether they're living with Severe Mental Illness (SMI), Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED), or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD).

Requirements to join us:

Job Specific Requirements: 

Prior experience in working with persons with Serious Mental Illness, Serious Emotional Disturbance and Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities and experience in providing crisis intervention preferred. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with time limited deadlines for documentation. Must be proficient with electronic communication and able to work with an electronic medical record.

Provides office and community based assessments to determine eligibility for CMH services as well as substance abuse screenings, referrals and authorizations. Provides crisis intervention as needed and pre-screens for in-patient psychiatric hospitalizations. Utilizes the DSM-5, ASAM, LOCUS, Columbia, SCQ, MichiCANS and CAFAS/PECFAS tools in daily work.

Qualifications, and Experience:

Education: Possession of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field. Training in bio-psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention.

If degree is in Social Work, must be Michigan Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Social Worker (LLMSW) with the intent and ability to obtain a LMSW within two years of hire.

If degree is in Counseling, must be a Michigan Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) with the intent and ability to obtain a LPC within two years of hire.

If degree is in Psychology, must be a Michigan Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) or Michigan Licensed Psychologist (LP) or Michigan Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP) with the intent and ability to obtain a LLP within two years of hire.

A valid Michigan Driver's License.
