What You'll Do
- Customer Service: Greet and assist walk-in and call-in customers, providing expert product recommendations and technical solutions
- Order Management: Process sales orders, quotes, returns, and special orders accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system
- Account Growth: Maintain and build relationships with existing accounts while identifying new sales opportunities through proactive follow-ups
- Product Expertise: Showcase and sell top-tier, industry-leading brands, serving as the resident expert on premium gear
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with inventory, warehouse, and outside sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in inside sales, customer service, or retail counter sales (experience in hardware, construction, or industrial supplies is highly preferred)
- Brand Knowledge: Deep familiarity with major name brands like Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Makita, and the ability to articulate their unique selling points
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with construction applications, tool specifications, and a strong willingness and ability to learn quickly
- Tech Skills: Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic Microsoft Office Suite
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs
