JOB SUMMARY: :The Accounts Payable Manager oversees the Accounts Payable Department for a service organization with multiple clients.
REPORTS TO: :Controller

SUPERVISES: :Accounts Payable Clerk
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS::
- Overseeing routine department activities to ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
- Training Accounts Payable Clerks as needed.
- Directing workflow function for accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
- Reconciling intercompany billings.
- Performing weekly check runs for multiple companies.
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts.
- Assists other finance staff with various functions such as required.
- Reconciling and coding credit card statements.
- Assist and interact with other divisions and perform other duties as directed.
- General equivalency diploma (GED) or higher required.
- 3 plus years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Supervisory experience helpful.
- Organized & diligent.
- Advanced knowledge of New York State sales tax.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage across multiple organizations, processes, and initiatives.
- Proficient with Excel & Word
- Experience with multi-company accounting and Timberline experience a plus.
