What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upper School Math Teacher position at Living Word/Maranatha Christian Academy?
Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is a private school serving Grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 in Brooklyn Park, MN. Our vision is for every Maranatha student to be highly educated, Christ-centered, and biblically anchored world changers. MCA is hiring an upper school math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Essential Duties (other duties may be assigned)
- Prepares course objectives and lesson plans, following curriculum guidelines and any requirements or standards of the state and school
- Lectures, demonstrates and uses audiovisual technology teaching aids to present subject matter to the class
- Assigns lessons, homework, corrects papers, and hears oral presentations
- Prepares, administers, and corrects tests, and records results
- Maintains order inside the classroom and other spaces on campus, as well as off-site school-sponsored activities
- Counsels students when academic and/or behavioral problems arise
- Communicate students' academic progress and behavior with parents
- Keeps attendance and grade records as required by MCA

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in secondary education or Math.
Desired License: Minnesota state teaching license in Math
