CDA Certified, Pre-School Teacher Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year
Living Word Academy is a 1-year-old through 12th-grade school servicing approximately 350 students. Our mission is to provide students with a college preparatory education, building them up in body, mind, and spirit. LWA offers students the academic and Biblical keys to life after high school.
We are looking for committed, Christian teachers to complement our amazing team. We care about building and keeping a peaceful and healthy work environment, where every employee can count on support from the directors and coworkers. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a creative, full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal candidates would have a loving and nourishing personality. Being passionate about reaching out to students and creating a relationship of mutual trust is also important to us. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and fun experience.
Responsibilities
- Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- maintain the health and safety of all students
- Use Christian-based curriculum
- Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
Qualifications
- 45 DCF Hours, CDA
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Passionate about working with children
- Willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures
- Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
