Senior Accountant

Position Summary
Living Well Disability Services transforms the lives of people impacted by disabilities through the delivery of exceptional services. The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of account reconciliations, maintaining strong accounting controls, and performing comprehensive account analysis. The Senior Accountant will also play a key role in process improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of automation solutions that enhance efficiency across the organization.  The role will also require solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete timely and accurate monthly account reconciliations in accordance with internal policies and accounting best practices.
• Maintain, monitor, and enhance effective accounting controls to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Perform detailed account analysis and variance research to support monthly and annual financial reporting.
• Assist in process improvement efforts, including documenting workflows, identifying operational inefficiencies, and recommending solutions.
• Support automation and system enhancement projects aimed at improving data accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with team members and assist across Finance and other departments to ensure consistent and accurate financial information.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Contribute to other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3 to 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
• Proven experience with account reconciliations, controls, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and support process improvement initiatives.
• Experience with Solomon ERP is a plus, but not required.
• Experience in Nonprofit accounting and/or Group Residential Housing is a plus, but not required.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with automation tools or system enhancements is helpful.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization.
