What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Aide position at Living Waters Hospice?
Must have active Home Health Aide license
Willing to travel
Reports changes in the patient’s conditions and needs to the RN Case Manager or Director of Patient Care Services.
Observes and reports signs and symptoms of discomfort including presence of pain.
Provides or assists patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair.
Assists patients in and out of bed and assisting with ambulation.
Turns patients in bed and positions for comfort.
Assists with prescribed exercises which patients and hospice aides have been taught by appropriate health personnel.
Assists patients with meals.
Assists patients to bathroom or in using bedpan or urinal.
Performs household services to facilitate the patient’s self-care at their place of residence.
Changes bed linen.
Completes all documentation in a timely, accurate, and legible manner.
Complies with hospice policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and standards of practice.
Observes for safety hazards in the patient’s and organization’s environments and takes
appropriate steps to reduce or eliminate them.
Adheres to the highest standards of professional and personal conduct in the performance of their duties.
Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-services.
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
