What are the responsibilities and job description for the LMHP position at Living Water Family Services?
- Provide Treatment Oversight to assure treatment is conducted appropriately and effectively with a focus on progress.
- Provide clinical supervision to non-licensed staff and maintain documentation reflecting the content of the supervised sessions, training and/or clinical guidance.
- Provide Treatment Plan Review to determine if progress is being made, and/or if updates are needed.
- Complete Progress Summaries- a 90-day synthesis of all activities and services for that specified period, which addresses each member’s assessed needs, progress toward the member’s desired personal outcomes, and changes in the member’s progress and service needs.
- Conduct Progress Note Reviews- A sample of the service/progress notes for each member seen by a non-LMHP must be reviewed by an LMHP supervisor at least monthly.
- Handle outlying clinical issues with MCO’s (authorization issues, clinical reviews, etc.)
- Provides staff training as required.
- The LMHP must conduct face to face interviews with the recipient and their family/ significant others as clinical tasks demand.
- The LMHP must sign and date documentation produced by clinical services/ clinical tasks
- Provides crisis intervention services and/or work with non-licensed staff through the crisis event as needed.
- Conduct Assessments/ Reassessments including the Locus/ CA Locus as needed.
- Develop Treatment Plans as needed.
- Notify the provider’s staff psychiatrist of any significant changes in a recipient, physical or mental status.
- May provide all core services except medication management, unless qualified to do so.
- Performs the Clinical Quality Improvement functions as required, (i.e. client satisfaction surveys, participates in clinical staff annual evaluations, etc.)
- Attend/Conduct all staff meetings and trainings.
- Work with other staff members to meet the needs of the organization.
- Maintain malpractice insurance coverage
Qualifications needed:
Licensed in the field of Social Work (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Louisiana and adhere to all licensing standards to remain in good standing. Must show proof of licensure.
