Position Overview
The Accounting & Billing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing billing and collections, and supporting company-wide financial reporting. This role requires strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and a deep understanding of accounting fundamentals.
Experience in real estate, property management, or multi-entity environments is highly preferred.
Core Responsibilities
• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations with high accuracy
• Maintain and monitor tenant billing, including rent, utilities, and additional charges
• Track incoming payments and proactively manage outstanding balances
• Process vendor invoices and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain detailed property-level expense tracking and budget monitoring
• Help improve accounting workflows, automation, and reporting systems
• Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and internal team members regarding billing matters
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience (real estate or property management strongly preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required — not optional)
• Experience working with property management or leasing accounting preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and operations teams
Bonus Experience
• Experience with DoorLoop or similar property management software
