What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmers Market Kombucha Vendor position at Living Swell Kombucha?
Job description:
The market vendor assistant will help with all aspects of our farmer’s market operations from set up to take down. You will help educate customers about kombucha and how our fermenting techniques make our product some of the best in the industry! We attend 6-8 farmers markets and events a week (mostly weekends) throughout the Bay Area, sometimes more in the peak summer months. This is a really fun job for someone with fantastic customer service skills, positive attitude, and interest in kombucha.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Comfortable driving commercial vehicle and clean driving record
- Selling kombucha, handing out samples
- Kombucha education & small talk with customers
- Representing our brand to customers and other vendors
- Unloading trailer or van and set-up/take-down market stall
- Using our POS system, handling cash/making change
- Comfort handling kegs and moving up to 60 lbs.
Key skills and requirements:
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality
- Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
- Great organizational skills and standard of cleanliness
- Reliable transportation to/from your market
- Be prepared to start work early on weekends
- Able up to move/lift up to 60#(kegs)and comfortable standing for up to 6 hrs.
- Experience in service industry a plus
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
More about the Position:
- 6-18 hours a week, must have weekend availability
- Pay is $16.50-$21/hr (base rate) plus reliable tips
- Shifts range from a solo position market to multi-staff markets
