Driver/Helper furniture delievery

Duties

• Safely operate box trucks or personal vehicles to deliver furniture to residential or commercial locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Load and unload furniture items using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices
• Assist customers with the placement and setup of furniture upon delivery, ensuring satisfaction and proper handling of all items
• Verify delivery addresses, complete route driving efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules or routes as needed
• Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation using mobile devices or digital tools, including delivery logs and customer signatures
• Collaborate with warehouse operations for timely pickup of furniture items, ensuring proper load & unload procedures are followed

Requirements

• Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or commercial truck preferred
• Familiarity with DOT regulations regarding weight handling and vehicle safety standards
• Experience delivering furniture preferably 1 year or more.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally during deliveries, while running a app.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, moving furniture items safely, and standing or walking for extended periods
• Knowledge of route driving best practices and adherence to traffic laws at all times
