What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Coach position at Living Opportunities, Inc.?
Our Employment Department is currently seeking a Job Coach to join our team.
A little about what we do:
Have you ever had a job that you’re excited to go to each day? That’s the kind of experience we strive to create for our clients and for each other. Job coaches support adults with disabilities in their jobs throughout the community so that they can be successful and as independent as possible. That support is customized to each person and their specific needs and might include on-the-job training, problem-solving issues, or supervision for safety. We also support people in accessing their community through volunteerism or social activities, while modeling and teaching social skills, communication, making purchases, and other transferable skills. We build trust with our clients and our business partners and support our clients in building relationships with their coworkers and community members. We’re in the business of providing quality supports – to our clients and to each other.
What does this look like?
A job coach’s schedule is a mix of the routine and the novel… Your daily schedule will be a mix of supporting people in different businesses and activities or office time for documentation and trainings. You might visit a variety of job sites, such as a restaurant, medical office, manufacturing warehouse, college, or hardware store – and you’ll have opportunities to experience new things as new jobs come along.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! We provide all of the training you will need.
