Position
Overview:
The goal of this important position is to minister to and care for donors (ministry partners) of Living on the Edge. The Mid-Level Donor Representative uses the phone, email, text and mail to thank donors for their partnership, learn what motivated their giving,
and
communicate
aspects
of
the
organization’s
mission
of
interest
to
the
donor. The
goal
is
to
minister
first
and
facilitate
a
stronger
partnership
between
the
donor
and Living on the Edge.
The
Mid-Level
Donor
Representative
is
a
full-time
position,
serves
on
the
Partner Relationships
Team,
and
reports
to
the
Vice President of
Partner
Relationships.

Specific Responsibilities
1. Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly staff meetings and daily prayer meetings.
2. Meet
or
exceed
outbound
activity
metrics
and
fund-raising
goals
through
the cultivation and stewardship of donors
· Our department’s primary emphasis is ministry first. We ask, “How can I support
you
in
your
journey
with
God?”
“How
can
I
be
praying
for
you?”
· Develop
meaningful
relationships
through
personal
interaction
with
donors, with primary emphasis on voice-to-voice integration strategically used to discover, cultivate, invite, and steward donors of partner of Living on the Edge. Donor interactions will be conducted using phone (25-30 calls per day), email, mail, text, zoom, and occasionally in-person.
· Identify each donor’s interest in Living on the Edge’s mission – connecting the
ministry
with
each
donor’s
interests.
Share
information
on
Living
on
the Edge programs and solicit financial donations.
· Plan and implement account management strategies to ensure assigned donors
are
cultivated
toward
their
full
giving
potential
and
invited
to
give
- recognizing that all gifts to Living on the Edge are a spiritual transaction.
· Ensure
strategic
contact
plans
are
in
place
and
implemented
for donors.
· Provide
information
regarding
projects,
events
and
initiatives,
and
identify and invite donors to participate as appropriate.
· Facilitate
giving
from
donor
advised
funds,
appreciated
assets,
annuities,
etc. using an increasing knowledge of the gift planning process to identify opportunities.
· Record
contact
notes in
the
CRM for
each donor.
· Provide
input
to
leadership
regarding
donor’s
interests,
needs,
and opportunities.
· Identify
donors
who
could
be
handed
off
to
another
donor
care
specialist. Facilitate the transfer of donors.
· Be
willing
to
help
with
and/or
attend
donor
related
activities
as
approved
by supervisor.
· Achieve
established
targets
for
donor
ministry
activities.
3. Participate
in
team
training
and
learning
opportunities
to
strengthen effectiveness in donor development.
4. Work
with
other
team
members
in
a
collaborative
partnership
to
the
holistic benefit of the organization.
5. Attend
local
and
regional
meetings
as
established
by
supervisor
for
the
purpose of team collaboration and relational establishment when requested.
6. Provide
necessary/helpful
input
to
other
team
members
as
best
you
can.
7. Know and to use the organizational systems.
8. Perform
other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience:
Two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience (four years). Bachelor's degree preferred. In addition to education or education equivalent, requires a minimum of four to six years of work experience in sales/fundraising, client management, customer service or related field. Requires self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work non-standard business hours to accommodate donor schedules.
Technology:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, mobile phone technology, and website utilization.
Must
be
able
to
use
video
conferencing
systems
like
Zoom,
have
an
ability to
understand
and
utilize
multi-functional
customer/donor
databases
and
in
general,
a high technology IQ to leverage it to improve workflow and efficiency.

Pace:
There are expectations for outbound activities (phone, email, etc.). Each interaction can vary between leaving a message to having a long conversation, or multiple
interactions
over
several
days.
As
previously
stated,
the
goal
is
minister
to, and care for, the donor. This position requires consistent self-motivation and self- management.
Organized and relational:
This position requires a blend of relationship-building and organizational
ability.
The
Mid-Level
Donor
Representative
will
be
assigned
a
group
of donors to reach out to and will consequently be managing multiple relationships simultaneously.
Excellent record-keeping, strong writings skills, ability to work independently, self-assigning and self-monitoring. Excellent communication and organization skills. Fast learner; relational, creative, resourceful. Ability to strategize and problem solve.
The
location
for
this
position
is
the
Living
on
the
Edge
office
(Duluth,
GA). After six months we may offer two days of work from home.
Some
evening
and
Saturday
work
required. Limited overnight travel may be required.
