POSTED ON 10/8/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/2/2026

Schedule: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM Mo - Sat
Pay: $2,000 - 2500 per month, paid in two installments

Living Hope is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and responsible Night Shift Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Residential Support Staff member to provide evening and overnight supervision at our behavioral health residential facility.

This opportunity may be particularly suitable for someone looking to supplement their existing income with a consistent overnight position.

Our residents are independent and generally able to manage their own activities of daily living (ADLs). The evening portion of the shift is moderately active, primarily involving resident engagement, medication administration, behavioral monitoring, and support with evening routines. Overnight hours are generally quieter and primarily involve supervision, safety monitoring, documentation, and responding to resident needs as they arise.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor residents’ behavior, safety, and overall well-being.
  • Administer medications in accordance with facility policies, medication orders, and established procedures.
  • Complete medication documentation accurately and report medication-related concerns appropriately.
  • Engage residents and encourage participation in appropriate evening activities.
  • Motivate residents to follow house rules, treatment expectations, chores, hygiene routines, and established schedules.
  • Facilitate simple recreational, recovery-oriented, and life-skills activities.
  • Observe and document resident behaviors, concerns, incidents, and significant changes.
  • Provide behavioral support and appropriate de-escalation when necessary.
  • Complete required overnight safety checks and resident monitoring.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, clean, and structured residential environment.
  • Assist residents with morning preparation and transition to the daytime program.
  • Transport residents when necessary and authorized.
  • Provide a clear and accurate shift report to incoming staff and management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Previous experience in behavioral health, substance-use treatment, residential care, caregiving, or a similar environment preferred.
  • Ability to monitor resident behavior and recognize changes that may require intervention.
  • Ability to motivate and engage residents while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Comfortable working with individuals receiving behavioral health and substance-use treatment services.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening.
  • Must be dependable and available to work the full 5:00 PM–8:00 AM overnight schedule.
  • Strong communication, observation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is reliable, calm, mature, attentive, and engaging. Because our residents are largely independent, this position is less physically demanding than traditional caregiving.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable balancing periods of lighter overnight activity with active resident engagement, medication responsibilities, safety monitoring, documentation, and responding appropriately when a resident needs assistance.

Immediate opening — qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
