The Receiver (Utility) at Dock Woods is primarily responsible for ensuring quality receipt of all food and supplies for the Dining Services department. You’ll also assist with general kitchen cleanliness and complete specialty cleaning projects as assigned.
Receiver (Utility) Overview:
· Ensures all receiving and storage areas are clean and free of debris.
· Identifies points in the flow of food where hazards can be eliminated or reduced.
· Ensures all produce is of an acceptable quality,
· Ensures and completes all written documentation associated with all Federal, State, County and HACCP techniques as outlined in the FDA Public Food Code and all coursework associated with Serve Safe Safety and Sanitation Certification.
· Ensures quantity and specifications of items delivered matches purchase order and invoice.
· Assumes and completes all special cleaning projects assigned to this position. Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility / state guidelines.
· Responsible for general kitchen cleanliness. Wears protective clothing when handling hazardous chemicals or infectious waste.
· Previous kitchen experience pertaining to proper food storage and safety and sanitation techniques preferred
· Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling
· Ability to coordinate numerous tasks and complete those tasks within given deadlines
· Every other weekend and every other holiday hours required
· High School Diploma required
