ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
LIVIC Civil is looking to fill a full-time position for Senior Roadway Designer. This position will be responsible for designing roadway, intersection, roundabout, and trail projects meeting federal and state design guidelines. The engineer will lead multidiscipline design teams in the delivery of major transportation improvement projects across Pennsylvania.
Essential job functions include:
- Lead a team Designers and Engineers to complete project design and analysis, providing technical guidance to less experienced staff
- Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents as necessary.
- Performs research, design and develop roadway projects, including plan preparation, specifications, construction estimates and construction schedules.
- Prepare and review design computations, plan designs, and drawings.
- Prepare project estimates, budgets, schedules and execution of plans.
- Prepare and review specifications, draft letters, and written technical reports.
- Coordinate with peers and project managers regarding project progress.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering Technology or related field OR 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with AutoCAD CIVIL 3D and Bentley Open Roads Designer.
- Experience with MS Word and MS Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 years of relevant cadd/engineering experience
