Duration: 6 Month Contract (Potential Full-Time Conversion)

families affected by pediatric cancer.
About 24hr Hockey Marathon Games
Our 24 Hour Marathon Hockey Games are held at premier rinks across the nation. We recruit a
minimum of 60 skaters to participate in an amazing show of courage and endurance. Each participant
is required to raise funds for our mission.
Role Summary
You will be the national engine for player recruitment. Responsible for building and running campaigns
to get 60 committed players per event (our hard minimum), create toolkits, run ads/outreach, and
feed warm leads to our local connectors and high-value closer(s). Work closely with the team, to turn
proven local success into a national movement. You will play a crucial role in enabling us to offer more
experiences to families, making a tangible difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute national recruiting strategy: LinkedIn, Instagram, Hockey Forums, Alumni
Networks, Podcasts, influencers
• Create player recruitment assets: Flyers, social graphics, email scripts, fundraising page
templates, objection-handling guides ($1,000 - $1,500 ask)
• Run targeted campaigns (e.g., geo-ads, alumni blasts) and track pipeline weekly vs. player goal
• Coordinate with local hockey connectors to amplify market-specific pushes
• Report dashboards: leads generated, conversion rates, player commitments per event
• Help refine messaging to appeal to pickup-league heroes, former juniors, rec. players - anyone
who loves hockey and wants to do something epic.
• Lead a team of contract recruiting leads regionally based on event location(s)
• Create and maintain regional recruitment lead portfolio within our CRM system
Qualifications
• Passion for hockey nonprofit mission (personal connection to pediatric cancer is a huge plus)
• Proven recruiting/sales/outreach experience (admissions, nonprofit fundraising, sports
recruitment, or similar)
• Strong digital skills: social media, Canva/creative tools, basic Salesforce/Google Sheets
• Hockey background preferred (player, coach, league organizer)
• Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced startup nonprofit environment
• Excellent communicator - warm, persistent, mission-driven
