About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from kickoff through closeout. This role is responsible for coordinating schedules, managing budgets, procuring materials, and maintaining strong communication between customers, general contractors, vendors, and field leadership.
Our Project Managers play a critical role in supporting Foremen, Field Superintendents, and Lead Technicians by ensuring the field has the information, materials, and planning needed to execute work safely and efficiently.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and able to keep projects moving forward while maintaining strong relationships with both customers and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestone timelines, and coordination requirements
- Communicate schedule updates to field leadership, customers, and internal teams
- Identify potential schedule conflicts and proactively coordinate solutions
Budget Management
- Track labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Monitor project budgets and compare forecast vs. actual performance
- Identify cost variances early and work with leadership to maintain project profitability
Procurement & Material Coordination
- Order and track project materials and equipment
- Monitor long-lead items and coordinate deliveries with field teams
- Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain reliable material flow
Documentation & Project Controls
- Maintain project documentation including:
- Drawings
- RFIs
- Submittals
- Change orders
- Meeting notes
- Project logs
- Ensure field teams are always working from the latest drawings and information
Change Management
- Identify scope gaps and potential change opportunities
- Review T&M tickets and field documentation
- Develop and track change orders with accurate supporting documentation
Customer & GC Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and general contractors
- Provide schedule updates, coordination requests, progress reporting, and issue resolution
Field Coordination
- Coordinate manpower needs, inspections, outages, site access, and constraints with field leadership
- Support Foremen and Field Superintendents with planning and logistics
Quality & Compliance
- Coordinate submittal approvals and inspection readiness
- Assist field teams with AHJ documentation and compliance requirements
Risk Management
- Identify design conflicts, manpower shortages, schedule risks, and material delays early
- Develop solutions before issues impact field productivity
Project Closeout
- Manage punch list completion
- Compile closeout documentation including:
- O&M manuals
- Warranty documentation
- As-built drawings
- Support final billing and project completion
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience managing construction projects (electrical experience preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders including field teams, customers, and vendors
- Experience with project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Ability to track budgets, schedules, and procurement
- Comfortable working closely with field leadership
Bonus Experience :
- Electrical construction experience
- Knowledge of electrical systems or construction workflows
- Experience with project management or construction management software
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
