- Provides intermediate care for patients recovering from surgery, procedures, or with acute conditions requiring close monitoring.
- Performs patient assessments, monitors vital signs, arrhythmias, and lab results, and responds to changes.
- Administers medications, manages telemetry and complex conditions like heart failure or respiratory distress.
- Collaborates with healthcare team to develop care plans and educates patients/families on recovery and lifestyle adjustments.
- Documents all interventions accurately, follows infection control protocols, and responds to emergencies with ALS as needed.
- Works within hospital policies, participates in quality improvement, and supports team collaboration.
