Job Summary

This role involves supporting a surgical or procedural team by performing specialized technical duties in the operating room environment. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician, the individual assists with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe and functional surgical setting.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program
  • Experience
    • Preferred: One year of experience as a Surgical Tech
  • Certification/Licensure
    • Required:
      • Surgical Technician Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or
      • Surgical Technician Certification by the National Center for Competency Testing or
      • United States Military or United States Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification — must be obtained within ninety days of hire
