- Provide comprehensive, hands-on care to patients with diverse medical and surgical needs in a team-oriented environment.
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care, develop and update patient care plans, and perform assessments and specialized procedures.
- Respond to patient status changes, coordinate with physicians, supervise support staff, and support safety and quality initiatives.
- Requires active RN license in Alaska, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within 6 months. Prefer 1 year of acute care experience or willingness to train.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and ability to handle emergency situations are essential. Must lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physical activities.
- Work in a close-knit, team-based setting with opportunities to float between units. Exposure to infectious materials necessitates strict safety protocols.
- This per diem position offers a $47.53/hour pay rate plus a 15% premium, but no benefits. Located in Homer, Alaska, known for outdoor recreation, friendly community, and quality of life.
