Your Impact As A Founding DVM Partner
This is more than a leadership role; it's an opportunity to build and lead a full-service urgent care hospital with the full backing of an established network. As the Founding Partner & Lead Veterinarian, you will be the cornerstone of the hospital, responsible for establishing a gold-standard medical culture, mentoring your team, and driving the business's success as a true owner. - Build a Thriving Practice Culture: You will be the architect of a client-first, collaborative culture, setting the tone for medical excellence and teamwork from day one. In a community of busy professionals and devoted pet owners, your standard of care will set Livewell Henrico apart from day one including after hours, when pet owners most need a hospital, they can trust.
- Lead and Mentor Your Medical Team: Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team of veterinarians and support staff building a hospital culture that attracts top talent, staffs extended hours sustainably and delivers outstanding urgent care to the growing pet-owning communities of Henrico's West End, Glen Allen, Short Pump, and beyond.
- Drive Medical and Surgical Excellence: Establish the hospital's standard of care, ensuring every patient receives exceptional medicine from urgent case workups and diagnostics through surgery while mentoring your team in general surgery, dentistry, and evidence-based clinical decision-making. You'll build a reputation as the trusted urgent care and surgical destination for pets across Henrico and greater Richmond.
- Partner in Business Ownership: Work directly with your Hospital Manager to manage the hospital's financial performance (including staffing for extended hours), making strategic decisions that drive top-line revenue growth and position the hospital as a long-term community resource.
- Shape the Future of Veterinary Care in Henrico: Help establish a purpose-built urgent care hospital designed to meet the needs of today's pet owners. With high foot traffic from a Publix-anchored center, immediate access to W. Broad Street and I-64, and visibility from a road carrying 34,000 vehicles per day, you'll have the platform to build something that lasts.
