Qualifications:Position Summary
The Fleet & Mill Maintenance Technician is responsible for ongoing and preventative fleet & feed mill maintenance objectives. This individual will work as a full-time mechanic and report directly to the Location Facility Manager.
Job Responsibilities

Mechanical repair of fleet of 12-15 trucks and trailers, as well as the feed mill(s)

Preventative maintenance of fleet and feed mill(s)

Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for ongoing maintenance

Perform troubleshooting to solve repair issues

Communicate and identify needs and plans for improvement

Maintain part and tool inventory

Ensure compliance of safety policies

Assist with any and all production needs

Other tasks as assigned from time to time by management
Qualifications and Skills
-
Diesel certificate, with a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training.

Mechanical repair and preventative maintenance skills
-
Welding and/or fabrication experience

Ability to manage spare parts inventory and associated costs

Valid Driver’s License-CDL preferred but not required

Mathematical aptitude

Safety minded

Works well in team environment
Physical Requirements

Must be able to work at heights

Ability to regularly carry, move, push, pull, and/or lift up to 75 pounds

Ability to climb ladders and stairways

Regular bending and stooping

Standing for up to 8 hours at a time

Hand dexterity in order to operate controls, radios, and tools

Ability to hear radio communications, alarms, machinery sounds, and crew instructions
